Neapco Notables | Charlotte Renneberg, Senior Program Manager
For more than 100 years, our team members worldwide have been creating sustainable, reliable, innovative, and cost-effective automotive solutions. From Germany to Mexico, our dedicated team of experts takes on any challenge that comes their way.
In this edition of Neapco Notables, we highlight Charlotte Renneberg, Senior Program Manager at our Düren, Germany plant. Charlotte’s passion for the automotive industry during her time as an intern at Neapco inspired her to stay on our team and grow full-time.
Charlotte shares more with us about her role at Neapco, her favorite parts about working here and her life outside the office.
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started at Neapco.
I went to the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen University and majored in Automotive Engineering. I was lucky enough to get an internship with Neapco in 2010. After I graduated, I got a full-time offer and didn’t have to think twice about it. I loved the atmosphere and supportive work environment and knew I wanted to come work here full-time. I started off working in the Neapco Logistics Department for a few years before I joined the Program Management Team, where I now manage various international projects.
What does your day-to-day look like?
The great thing about my job is that I am able to work with so many different people every day. From team meetings to one-on-ones, I typically spend most of my mornings working with the Poland and Germany teams and the afternoons working with the US and Mexico teams. I recently had the opportunity to take the lead on a cross-functional continuous improvement initiative across a global scale for Neapco. I love how my role embraces working with a variety of teams, where we get to learn from each other and create a sustainable and positive impact on the world.
When I was younger, I played in a semi-professional orchestra. As I continue to grow in my professional career, I notice the parallels between being on a team and playing in an orchestra. Everyone’s support from one another allows each individual to make an even bigger contribution to the whole team. I think this mindset has carried over into a lot of aspects of my life as I continue to keep learning everyday to better myself both personally and professionally.
What do you enjoy most about working at Neapco?
Our team at Neapco really is the difference maker for me. Everyone shows their commitment and willingness to work together to create an open environment for success and improvement. No matter the time zone or language barrier, our team is committed to getting the job done.
I am also very grateful for the flexibility and compassion within the company. As a mother of two, having an understanding team that values work-life balance has been incredible. I will always appreciate the support at Neapco and am honored to work for an organization that I am so passionate about.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Playing the Saxophone and spending time with my kids are my favorite things to do outside of work. I play in a saxophone trio and, in the winter, I also play in a Project Orchestra.
