Neapco Sponsors Reggie Jackson Literacy Lounges in Detroit

Neapco has a great team who believes in supporting our local community. Recently our team worked with Reggie Jackson’s DETermined to Assist Foundation in the creation of two Literacy Lounges in Title I Detroit elementary schools. The mission of the Foundation is to impact the lives of low-income children in Detroit by providing them with educational opportunities and resources that they otherwise would not have.

Neapco sponsored the Literacy Lounges at Burn Elementary-Middle and Edison Elementary. The team helped to set up the lounge areas at both schools by painting the walls, putting up Reggie Jackson-themed wall decals, and unloading 600+ new books onto bookshelves. The Neapco team celebrated with ribbon cuttings at each school on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

Local Detroit news outlets WDIV Channel 4, WXYZ Channel 7, and MLive were in attendance and interviewed Neapco CEO Ken Hopkins.
