Neapco’s Near-Term Climate Targets Approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative

Neapco Holdings, Inc., a global supplier of automotive driveline products, today announced that its near-term climate targets have been approved by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the gold standard for climate target validation. This approval means that Neapco’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets align with the latest climate science to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Using a 2022 baseline, the approved targets show Neapco’s commitment to:

  • Reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 54.6% by 2033
  • Reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 32.5% by 2033

“Neapco’s steadfast commitment to sustainability means that even as our business is growing, we are committed to a continued decrease in emissions,” said Ken Hopkins, President and CEO, Neapco Holdings, LLC. “We take a great deal of pride in our advocacy and leadership in making sustainability a company- and industry-wide priority. Neapco will continue to emphasize the importance for a future of shared prosperity and sustainability.”

To reach these targets, Neapco will continue to implement a range of initiatives including implementing energy efficiency projects at production sites, increasing the use of renewable energy sources and encouraging and supporting our supply chain to set and meet their own sustainability goals.
