Job Description:

  • Design and analysis of new and existing driveline components.
  • Analyze and interpret technical documents.
  • Establish product level performance requirements insuring that the product will perform satisfactorily in its application.
  • Address design for manufacture, cost and assembly.
  • Interface activity with engineering peers at the customer, supply base, and across all functions.
  • Support APQP process with suppliers and customers.
  • Support root cause analysis activities related to warranty or quality returns.
  • Field and laboratory testing
  • Project management.
  • Lead and support various cost reduction, R&D Activity, and other company intiatives.
  • Key member of cross functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with iron casting, steel forgings, aluminum, and machined components is preferred.
  • Seal design and/or bearing design, and    Pro-E experience a plus.
  • Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis
  • Finite Element Analysis
  • Statistical, technical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Micrsoft Office. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational and recordkeeping skills.
